The Origin
Where the Name Began
A drop tine is one of the rarest marks nature leaves on a whitetail buck — an extra point growing downward from the main beam, occurring in only a fraction of a percent of deer. When founder Larry Wiebe harvested a rare drop-tine buck, it became more than a hunting story. It became a symbol.
Like the antler it's named for, Drop Tine Homes stands apart because of what makes it different, not despite it. Every home we build carries that same conviction: distinctive design, uncommon patience, and a willingness to do things the harder, better way.
Larry partnered with Chase Guetersloh to turn that philosophy into a company, and together they set out to build homes across Lubbock and West Texas that reflect the individuality of the families who live in them.
